We as a team are focused on a people group located in our region. Most of our neighbors have never met a follower of Jesus. They follow a ritual and works based worldview, with an absence of an assurance of salvation. Our vision is to see numerous Communities of Faith (COF) in Jesus among them worshipping the Lord. We build relationships as we serve among these people, showing love and sharing Jesus in word and deed.
You will contribute to the vision and mission of the team by living and working incarnationally among our focus People Group. With this foundation you will be involved in sharing the good news of life in Jesus, making disciples and praying in order to kindle movements of Jesus-followers among our large People Group.
The city is crawling with motorbikes, street vendors, and most modern conveniences. The countryside is dotted with villages full of families with children. The culture of many peoples is more laid back and they love to sit and chat over a hot drink. Existence of the spirit world is assumed. And religion is a common topic of conversation. The region has a significant population of Muslims.
An initial period of language study and cultural adaptation followed by working as a lecturer in a university or college. Sharing the Good News with colleagues, friends and neighbours.

The applicant should be prepared to live a contextualized lifestyle within the community in which they will live. Among other things, this relates to dressing modestly and foods eaten. It also means contextualizing the language we use to share about Jesus. In the local culture it is important that the men relate to the men and the women relate to the women. These sensitivities to the culture will help build priceless bridges with your local neighbours and friends.
