Take university courses related to your studies and learn the local language and culture. Build relationships and have meaningful conversations with fellow students.
The weather is tropical and the people are very hospitable. The region is developing fast and becoming more urbanised. However, much of the traditional culture still remains. Many young people go to the cities to study and stay there after they have graduated.
Responsibilities
Depending on the length of your placement you will have opportunity to:
- Study the local language and culture.
- Build friendships with local people and share in their lives.
- Prayer walk.
- Do a home stay.
Qualifications
This opportunity is available in these dates only:
Sept or February (start of the semesters).
Living Situations
- Able to maintain good spiritual health in the face of both practical and spiritual challenges
- Having a learning and flexible attitude and willing to respect local expectations, such as interactions with people of the opposite sex
- Willing to work together with people of different nationalities with mutual accountability

- Applications need to be made from 1 March to 30 April (for September intake) or from 1 September to 30 October (for February intake) for a maximum of two semesters.
