Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a unique organisation using aircraft to deliver help and hope across the developing world for over 70 years. Papua New Guinea is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. It is also one of the most rural, with 80+% of its population living in very remote areas and isolated by the rugged terrain. For these communities, MAF's flight and freight services are not a luxury, but a lifeline!
We are seeking an experienced, detail-orientated Avionics Engineer to join our growing PNG team. You will play a key role in maintaining, inspecting and repairing the aircraft avionics systems. You will ensure that maintenance activities are performed in accordance with organisational and regulatory procedures.
As an Avionics Engineer you will be performing all avionics inspection work in compliance with MAF, CASA and international aviation maintenance standards. All documentation done must be current and completed with the need to report any problems to the chief engineer.
As part of the role, you will seek to improve the quality and safety aspect in the engineering department and contribute positively to the safety culture within MAF.
