Overview
One of these places is Arnhem Land, a historical region of the Northern Territory of Australia. It is also a vast wilderness area, defined by rocky escarpments, gorges, rivers and waterfalls. MAF has served the people in Arnhem Land for the past 50 years by sharing God’s love through aviation and technology. To continue enabling our service in Arnhem Land we require an experienced Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
🚀 The Role
As our Facilities Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for all things property and vehicles in East Arnhem Land. From hangars to houses, cars to coffee machines, you’ll make sure everything is safe, compliant, and running like clockwork.
🏠 Your world will include:

Coordinating maintenance across 20 houses and 2 hangars.

Looking after all MAF office spaces and work areas.

Managing vehicles (except aircraft!) to keep them road-ready and reliable.

Overseeing contractors, volunteers, and the occasional enthusiastic DIYer.

Making sure everything meets safety standards and local regulations.

What we’re looking for:

A building trade qualification and current licences.

At least 3 years’ experience in your licensed building trade.

At least 2 years of building project management experience.

Cross-cultural experience, with a heart for serving in diverse settings.

Willingness to travel and temporarily live in Aboriginal communities, engaging with respect and sensitivity toward Aboriginal culture.
