Are you finishing an ethnomusicology degree at a college or university and are looking for somewhere to do your internship? One of our branches has an experienced ethnomusicologist/ ethnodoxologist, a professor of ethnomusicology and worship, who has been the supervisor for multiple students finishing up their degrees in their pre-dissertation internship / research periods.
Come for 1-6 months, depending on the needs of your degree program / research. Learn local music. Serve with the local church-planting team via helping out in worship in contextualized (or Western-style) meetings.
This opportunity is especially designed for people in a formal program of study. However, if you are not in one and still interested in coming, learning the local music and language, and learning about ways to reach out using music and the arts, we would be open to you coming as well.
*Fees for music lessons and language lessons would need to be factored into your budget, and the cost of a local instrument if learning one (specifics of instruments and of prices can be talked about if there is interest, since prices change every year).
Please include the Australian State where you live when applying. We are not able to take applications from those who live outside Australia.
*Australian citizens and/or residents only
