Donor Services Officer

Baptist Mission Australia is a donor supported mission organisation, and in this role you will be a key member of our finance and communications team in the National Office, processing gifts via a variety of channels. This role is a key first point of contact for donor queries. It is perfect for someone who is keen to grow in database and donor relations skills as you will have opportunity to work with our wider team on strategic donor journey processes.

• 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) 
• $37-39 per hour
• 24-month term contract with potential for renewal 
• Hybrid: WFH and minimum one day per week at Hawthorn, Victoria office (if candidate based in Melbourne)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process donations across multiple channels 
• Reconcile donations with finance reports and flag discrepancies
• Manage refunds and donor record corrections
• Support donor stewardship activities (i.e. thank you calls, letters and impact communications)
• Maintain accurate donor records in the Customer Relationship Management system
• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for fundraising and leadership teams
• Track donation trends, campaign performance and donor activity
• Offer strategic support to aid donor journey and communications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, empathetic approach to donor enquiries
• Commitment to excellent donor experience and stewardship
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A strong team player and people person
• Alignment with our vision, mission, and values
• Technically minded and quick learner
• Highly organised, efficient and reliable 
• Qualifications in accounts receivable and database management or other relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience working with donor databases/CRM (Virtuous preferred)
