Missions Interlink Short-Term Training (MIST) VIC

MIST is a course where participants are stimulated to think and learn about the challenges of living and working cross-culturally, whether overseas or within Australia.

MIST is designed for individuals, families or teams serving in short-term missions to learn experientially how to prepare for and engage in effective short-term cross cultural mission.

It is also aimed at equipping agency/church-based workers who have limited previous cross-cultural experience and are involved in mobilising and preparing others for cross-cultural mission.

Topics include:

·      Understanding yourself

·      Cross cultural shock, stress and re-entry

·      'Being' in another culture

·      Bible storytelling

·      Relationships and teams, authority\Keeping fresh spiritually & spiritual realities

·      Poverty, justice and development issues

·      Language learning

·      Culturally intelligent communication

·      Along with hands-on experiences from cultures around the world. 

Dates

Friday, 11 October to Sunday, 13 October 2024

Arrive by 6 pm for dinner, followed by a 7 pm session. Training ends at 4pm on Sunday.

$375 – Non MI Members or Associates
