This is a part-time role (4 days per week) that supports the heart of MI’s work — connecting and serving our members — through a mix of network event leadership, member relationships, and executive support to the National Director.
It’s a role for someone who is relational, highly organised, and has practical administrative skills.

The role is remote within Australia, with some travel for events (Melbourne or Sydney preferred), and requires occasional evening or weekend availability for on-the-day event support. The position description is attached.
The MI Network Operations Officer is responsible for member relations, network communications, and state-based networking events, alongside providing practical executive and administrative support to the National Director.
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on delivery rather than management. The role exists to ensure the Missions Interlink network operates smoothly and relationally, allowing the National Director to focus on leadership, discernment, and strategic relationships.
· Reports to: National Director (Kimberley Chan-Forney)
· Works with: MI staff, MI governance and leadership and MI constituents.
· Time fraction: 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week), flexible· Location: Remote, with travel to key states for events; Melbourne or Sydney preferred
· Availability: Some evenings and occasional weekends for events
· Act as a primary point of contact for Missions Interlink constituents
· Onboard new members and associates, coordinating interviews with the National Director where required.
· Maintain accurate membership records and newsletter distribution lists
· Oversee membership renewals, including follow-up with non-renewing members
· Assist members in understanding and accessing Missions Interlink benefits and resources
· Build relationships with members and non-members through communications and attendance at key network events
· Plan and deliver annual state-based networking events in collaboration with the National Director
· Coordinate logistics, registrations, volunteers, run-sheets, and on-the-day operations for MI events
· Support promotion of Missions Interlink and its events through presentations and networking (with the National Director)
· Assist in coordinating the National Director’s calendar and meeting scheduling
· Prepare agendas, meeting papers, minutes, and action tracking for Board and leadership meetings
· Provide administrative support for key programs and events, including the National Conference
· Prepare routine communications on behalf of the National Director
· Periodically communicate with constituents to highlight needs, resources, and network activity
· Maintain website event listings, member lists, and member resource pages
· Promote MI events and training through digital and in-person communications
· Maintain key network resources, including the Missionary Tax Guide, External Conduct Standards resources, and the Helping Professionals list (with the National Director)
· Experience in global mission or Christian non-profit contexts
· Strong relational and stakeholder management skills
· Proven senior administrative experience
· Demonstrated experience coordinating events and meetings
· Excellent written communication and attention to detail
· Comfortable working remotely and travelling as required
