Would you like to mentor Christians who are interested in pursuing cross cultural gospel
work? Prepare the Way is looking for a missions mentor, known as a Harvest Mentor, in
Adelaide, South Australia. You will represent up to five well-known mission agencies, ensuring
your objectivity as you prayerfully encourage your mentees to discern God’s will for their lives.
THE ROLE
In this varied role, you will be meeting with inquirers seeking a possible future in missions.
Meeting with them in person or online, you will pray and journey with them, providing support
and information about the multiple agencies you represent. Your role may also include other
activities, with the goal of producing more inquirers who would be interested in being mentored.
These activities may include meeting with church leaders, attending mission events, holding
stands at mission expos and running group mentoring meetings. You will provide opportunities
for those growing in their knowledge of mission to connect with and learn from multiple mission
agencies. The agencies represented vary from state to state. Our current member agencies
around Australia are Interserve, ECM, SIM and WEC.
As you will be the only Harvest Mentor in South Australia, you will need to be able to work
independently and set your own goals. A car and a license are highly advantageous as many of
the in-person meetings will be at various locations around Adelaide. You will receive training
from each of your mission agencies and will be asked to attend some staff conferences, many
of which will be in Sydney or Melbourne for up to a week at a time – expenses covered in full.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
1. To prayerfully strategize - seeking God’s will for opportunities to connect with those who

team.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Cross cultural mission experience
2. Heart for mission
3. Mentoring ability
