Based at our multipurpose property in Kununurra, you would be part of a small team of likeminded people wanting to serve in a ministry outreaching to people overseas by using your maintenance skills. Our property which is located 6km from the town of Kununurra includes 10 houses, gardens, workshops, accommodation building, sandalwood plantation and our purpose-built shortwave broadcast facility in the beautiful Kimberley region of Western Australia.
This unique and exciting ministry opportunity is ideally suited to a person with general handyman skills such as, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, building repairs, basic plumbing, basic mechanical skills, along with experience in grounds maintenance, the use of powered gardening equipment, tractors, and experience with water irrigation systems. Agricultural experience would be well considered.
Reporting to the Kununurra Operations Manager, the Grounds & Building Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, gardens, sandalwood trees, reticulation and general maintenance for all housing, accommodation buildings and general purpose buildings at our properties on Packsaddle Road, Kununurra. As needed, you will also be assisting with vehicle and machinery servicing and repairs in our fully equipped workshop. You must be physically fit and able to work at heights, with all training and equipment provided by Reach Beyond.
Reach Beyond is looking to fill this full-time position with someone who has a heart to serve and a sense of adventure. This is a salary position and on-site housing will be provided as part of the overall package. A relocation allowance for the right person would be considered.
