We work with the people of a major religion, who are the minority within our city in Thailand. The people have never met a follower of Jesus. They try to earn their salvation by works and rituals but have no promise of salvation. Many neighborhoods struggle with dysfunctional families, substance abuse, and low paying jobs.
We follow OMF International's mission, through God's grace, we aim to see movements of biblical and indigenous communities of faith in Jesus in each people group of East Asia, evangelizing their own people and reaching out in mission to other peoples.
You will contribute to the vision and mission of the team by living and working incarnationally among the Unreached People Group. With this foundation you will be involved in sharing the good news of life in Jesus, making disciples and praying in order to kindle movements of Jesus-followers among our focus Unreached People Group.
The city is crawling with cars, motorbikes, street vendors, and most modern conveniences. The urban areas are scattered with neighborhoods full of our focus people, which are becoming more and more surrounded by the urban sprawl of majority-religion land developments.
Our focus people, in the city, work hard to protect their customs and religion from the constant influence of modernity and the majority religion surrounding them. Religion is a common topic of conversation. Existence of the spirit world is assumed. Although technology and modern conveniences are common, their worldview has changed little.
