This local rehabilitation center for children with Cerebral Palsy opened in 2011. It aims to provide high-quality rehabilitation to children with CP (age 0-16) who can't afford to pay for therapy that's available. It's run by local neurologists and therapists with currently an early intervention center (age 0-3 years) and two rehabilitation centers for children age 3-16.
The job involves working with a local team, with opportunities to provide training for the staff, teaching parents and working with children on a day-to-day basis.
The applicant should be flexible and open to working with the local health care system. There are many challenges in working in health care according to evidence-based practice, but through working alongside local staff there will be opportunities for learning and development. It is important to have some level of local language. Translators can be provided for training.
