Each new family coming to work with OMF Thailand spend their first year in Lopburi at the Daniel Training Centre where they take part in a language and culture training program. School age children are normally home schooled. You would help families by working with the parents to oversee and run the home school program for their family.
Teaching children (5 years up) using home-schooling curriculum of the particular family.
Special projects like organizing and/or helping with kids program during retreats
Helping to organize and take part in field trips
Supporting families in other ways as necessary
Being part of the wider Daniel Training community in Lopburi
A genuine love for children and a desire to care for them and their parents.
Previous experience working with children is desirable.
Organized but flexible, patient and approachable with a good sense of humour.
Able to communicate well in English. Fluency in other languages is an asset as families come from all over the world (eg. German, Dutch, Cantonese, Korean).
Previous cross-cultural experience would be beneficial but is not necessary.
Must be in good health and physically active.
Budget of 600 Thai Baht per day (this includes food and accommodation).
Workers must provide for their own airfare, and also cover their own transportation costs and personal spending money.?br>Health and accident insurance are the responsibility of the worker.
