A non-profit organisation where expatriate professionals serve in partnership with local staff to build capacity in the sectors of health and development, working together in hope, for the welfare of the people of the country.
The Finance Director will work with a team of competent local staff to develop and maintain strong and transparent financial management systems in line with global best practices for NGOs, reflecting the organisation's values. S/He reports to the organisation's Board, is responsible to the Executive Director, and participates as a key member of the organisation's field-based Leadership Team.
The FD will preferably be a Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant with administrative and cross-cultural communication skills, proficient in English. S/He will be able to effectively lead and manage a small team, committed to capacity building. S/He will welcome challenges and be willing to make tough decisions while caring for people. S/He will be able to prioritise and perform well under pressure while living and working in an unpredictable cross-cultural context.
