Are you, or someone you know, a person who has a heart for discipleship, but also wants to first obtain some formal Bible training? Do you, or your friend, also have a desire to serve long-term to reach the unreached of Africa?
The Kenya Onboarding Team is designed to train new gospel workers in African culture while also obtaining formal Bible training in Africa. The first year of the team will be based at Africa International University (AIU) and will start in July 2022.
Team members will be taught by African professors and experience African thought and learning processes. Members will also commit to build relationships with other students in order to share their faith with non-believers and to look for opportunities to disciple believers.
This program is for people already committed to serve long-term among Africa’s unreached after the completion of their Bible studies.
Team members will better understand both African thought and how Africans process biblical truth, which, in turn, will enable them to better train and disciple believers to continue beyond them.
As well as attending Bible classes, participants will be trained in abiding as ministry, language acquisition skills, church relationships, unity within the team, and other AIM core values to help prepare them to join a long-term team.
They will also be exposed to outside ministries and encouraged to pursue ministry opportunities. Overall, the program is to help participants transition to being fruitful ministers among the unreached of Africa.
Participants should have post-secondary school certification or degree for immigration purposes.
